Visit Janie Nott's Art Therapy blog

I visited my dear friend in her beautiful home overlooking the wellington habour

and look at the beauty of her home with all her creations, inspiring!

Guendolen is the name of Merlin’s wife and she is the little white owl. If you look closely at the tree she is hiding in, you might see the lady of the lake with her sword, Merlin himself and the red dragon. Sandra will be selling these pen and ink drawings in the shop from the beginning of May.

“An artwork’s aura is its sensory expression, the outward extension of its physical presence and distinctive qualities, the airs orexpressions that it casts toward the person who perceives it, a pervasive spirit that cannot be escapsulated in words and concepts” p.122

I enjoy seeing the amazing imagery as it comes in the shop and the affect it has on those who view it, I agree that art has an air that it casts.

A guest post by Minty.

One of things I love about the Village Art Shop is that it’s more than pure art… it’s the whole culture of creativity. And you can find wonderful treasures there, like the range of Djeco paper craft items. We grabbed the Dragons one to do with the kids during the school holidays.

They loved it. Our 7 year-old daughter needed a little help, but our 10 year-old son was completely happy putting things together on his own. The graphics, packaging and instruction design are beautiful, and the finished product looks great.
